There are many talented musicians in the metal scene, but vocalist Lajon Witherspoon is not only one of those talents, but probably the kindest and most charismatic musician you’ve ever met. As the voice for Sevendust’s music since its foundation in the mid-90s, Lajon has always found a way to blend his soulful influences with aggressive vocals. After more than 30 years of career and many records, the band still has gas to burn and they are set to release their new album One on May 1st via Napalm Records.
Chaoszine had a chat with Lajon before Sevendust’s first show ever in Finland and discussed in detail how he started listening to heavy music, his influences and the kind of vocalist he became. You can check out the video interview in full below:
