London-based metal outfit Human Crushing Machine, the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Nick Schlesinger, has released its debut single and video “Tunnel Vision”.

Formed in 2024, the project features vocalist Simon Gordon (formerly of Kill II This) and includes guest performances from Chris Poland (Megadeth, OHM) on lead guitar. Schlesinger describes the project as more than just a vehicle for heavy riffs, saying it’s about holding up a mirror to a broken society and expressing real people’s pain through sound.

“Tunnel Vision” delivers a crushing mix of modern groove and classic metal attitude, drawing inspiration from Megadeth, Pantera, Alice In Chains, and Gojira. The track combines pummeling riffs and dark atmosphere with a fierce social message, confronting issues such as political corruption, inequality, and violence.

The song focuses on the growing homelessness crisis in Las Vegas, exposing the stark contrast between the city’s glittering surface and the reality faced by those living on the streets. Schlesinger wrote the song after spending time in the city, observing both its opulence and its suffering.

More than just a debut, “Tunnel Vision” stands as a protest anthem and the opening chapter in Human Crushing Machine’s larger mission. To channel rage, truth, and empathy into a sound that challenges listeners to confront the world’s injustices.
