Freshly returned from their first tour in Australia, cross-border heavy duo House Of Protection (Aric Improta and Stephen Harrison) today announce their second EP: ‘Outrun You All’ will be released on May 23rd, 2025 via Red Bull Records. The first taste of this project is provided by the single “Afterlife”.
Once again, they have collaborated with Jordan Fish, formerly of Bring Me The Horizon, who is not only a producer but also a close friend of the duo. On the new song, House Of Protection slow down their tempo a little, but without losing any of the explosive energy that made them famous on their brilliant debut last year. From the shameless lyrics to the electronic elements in the sandwich of ear-splitting riffs, “Afterlife” underlines House Of Protection‘s individuality. In the accompanying music video, a rubber-suited dominatrix lures the audience into a feverish dream sequence full of mind-expanding visuals and energetic performance shots.

‘Afterlife’ was the second song we demoed, right after “It’s Supposed to Hurt”. It started with just the guitar stab and the whip sound. We liked it a lot, but ultimately, we pushed to avoid heavy half-time on ‘GALORE’. We intentionally wanted to keep that whole first EP pretty fast. After our debut shows, we realized how much we missed the feeling live, so we revisited it and refined the ideas with Jordan and Nick. Now it’s one of our favorites.
Last year, House Of Protection hit the scene with their genre-bending debut EP “GALORE GALORE”, earning rave reviews from the likes of The Guardian, Kerrang!, Revolver and more. In less than a year, they lived up to the initial hype, selling out their first two shows in Los Angeles (The Echo) and London (The Underworld), being streamed over 10 million times worldwide, being added to Spotify’s ‘Artists to Watch 2025’ list and also being listed by laut.de as one of the most promising newcomers for 2025. They will soon be appearing as feature guests on the song “Brain Dead” on the new album by British metalcore outfit Architects. It’s safe to say that House Of Protection have quickly become one of the hottest things in the current heavy music landscape.
With their ethos of following no rules and creating inclusive spaces, they have attracted similar energy from audiences at their live performances. In January, the duo embarked on their first proper tour, joining Bad Omens and Poppy as main support. Over five nights, they exceeded all expectations and presented brand new music to over 25,000 fans in their opening slots. In the coming weeks, House Of Protection will also accompany Poppy on eleven shows of their ‘They’re All Around Us’ tour through the USA. In the summer, House Of Protection will perform at various major festivals, including Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park and the Download Festival.
