Hessian and Gomold summon raw black metal chaos on “Blasphemous Ritual In The Unholy Underworld…” split

Atlanta’s Hessian and Hungary’s Gomold have joined forces for a vile dose of raw black metal with their new split “Blasphemous Ritual In The Unholy Underworld…”. It drops on October 10, 2025 through Murder Records and Southern Soundclash Records.

This limited-edition cassette, restricted to 50 hand-numbered copies, contains four tracks. Hessian delivers “Ritual 1” and “Ritual 2.” Meanwhile, Gomold unleashes “A halál szele” and “A fekete kór.” Distribution will run through Hellstore Europe and Guts and Blood Records, ensuring availability for underground collectors.

According to the press release, both labels unite once again to summon “unholy noises extracted from the occult tombs in the graveyard.” Together, they aim to ignite a ritual of pure chaos and blackened fury.

Hessian, born from Atlanta’s cemetery soil, brings two funeral rituals steeped in deathly ambience and blackened noise. The duo includes Laremy Wade on guitars, composition, and effects, and Nyvrosk on drums. They wrapped up production in June 2025.

Gomold, emerging from Hungary’s ZBMK scene, strikes with plague-ridden black metal storms. The trio consists of Crotalos on guitar and vocals, Lucius on drums, and Big Chris on bass and backing vocals. They recorded and mixed their tracks at the Zvgloian Cave, channeling a raw, suffocating sound.

At just over 16 minutes long, “Blasphemous Ritual In The Unholy Underworld…” delivers a concise yet devastating experience. The split blends extreme black metal, ritual ambience, and necro-noise aggression into one grim invocation from both sides of the abyss.
