UK metallic hardcore force Heriot have released a new music video for “Master Of Deceit”, while also expanding their latest album “Devoured By The Mouth Of Hell” with a deluxe edition. The updated version adds fresh weight to a record that already pushed their sound into darker territory. It also includes last year’s single “Commander Of Pain”, which now finds a new home on the extended release.
With “Master Of Deceit”, the band dive into the strain of conformity and fear. The track centers on how outside pressure can strip away personal identity and lived experience. Instead of offering comfort, the lyrics confront the slow erosion of individual thought. As a result, the song questions how far people will go before they lose themselves completely. The band explain that the theme reflects a growing push to ignore emotions and personal beliefs. Because of that tension, the track feels urgent and direct.
The new video mirrors that message with stark visuals and an intense performance. At the same time, it reinforces the suffocating mood that runs through the album. While “Devoured By The Mouth Of Hell” already showcased the band’s heavier instincts, the deluxe edition sharpens the focus. Now, with “Master Of Deceit” leading the charge, Heriot underline their refusal to soften the edges of their sound.
