Scottish black/speed metal one‑man powerhouse Hellripper has released a new single titled “Hunderprest”. The track is out now as a digital release and marks the first new music from the project in 2026.
With this single, Hellripper continues to sharpen its aggressive blend of speed metal and black metal. The song moves fast and hits hard, driven by raw tremolo riffs, pounding drums, and a harsh vocal delivery. At the same time, it keeps the razor sharp hooks that have defined the project’s sound from the start. As a result, “Hunderprest” feels both familiar and more focused in its execution.
The band is the solo work of James McBain, who handles all instruments and vocals in the studio. Over the years, the project has built a strong reputation for channeling classic extreme metal influences while leaning heavily into grim atmosphere and Scottish folklore. Because of that, the new track fits naturally within the project’s established identity.
“Hunderprest” also serves as a preview of Hellripper’s upcoming fourth full length album “Coronach”, which is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026. The song appears as the album’s opening track and sets a relentless tone for what lies ahead.
