Hail The Sun unleash new single “The Drooling Class” with music video

American post-hardcore outfit Hail the Sun has dropped their latest high-energy single, “The Drooling Class”. Fronted by Donovan Melero and featuring Shane Gann, Aric Garcia, and John Stirrat, the band rolls together their signature math-rock riffs with visceral intensity, channeling both familiar and fresh influences.

The new track was produced and engineered by Pete Adams and Johnny Kosich in collaboration with Beach Noise, while mixing and mastering duties were handled by Zakk Cervini. The result is a crisp, punchy sound that emphasizes both the technical complexity and raw emotional weight the band is known for.

The official music video, directed and edited by James Coffman with additional footage and filming by Rosario Gutierrez, premiered alongside the single and is already turning heads with its polished visuals and intense delivery. Formed in 2009 in Chico, California, the band quickly gained recognition for their genre-blending mix of progressive rock, math rock, screamo, and post-hardcore. They rose to wider prominence after signing with Equal Vision Records in 2016, with standout releases like “Culture Scars” and “Mental Knife.”

The band’s previous album “Divine Inner Tension” was released back in 2023 and a one-off single “Secondary Worship” followed in 2024.
