Hail The Sun dive into chaos with new single “Relapse Is A Love Affair”

American post-hardcore band Hail The Sun has dropped a new single titled “Relapse Is A Love Affair”, which appears as track number 9 on their forthcoming album “cut. turn. fade. back.” The new album is scheduled for release on October 24, 2025, via Equal Vision Records.

While little has been revealed about the song’s deeper meaning, “Relapse Is A Love Affair” seems to align with the record’s broader themes of personal conflict, loss, and self-destruction. Much like the rest of the upcoming album, it’s expected to explore intense emotional territory through intricate musicianship and passionate delivery — their trademark sound.

“Relapse Is A Love Affair” marks the sixth single released from the album, which will feature a total of 11 songs. With each release, the band have continued to reveal more layers of the record’s emotional and sonic complexity, building anticipation for the full project’s arrival later this month.

Formed in Chico, California in 2009, Hail The Sun have built a strong reputation for blending post-hardcore, math rock, and progressive elements into something distinctly their own. The band features Donovan Melero on vocals, Shane Gann and Aric Garcia on guitars, John Stirrat on bass, and Allen Casillas on drums.

The group will also embark on a co-headlining North American tour this fall with Between The Buried And Me, with support from Delta Sleep and The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die.
