California post-hardcore/math-rock outfit Hail The Sun have released a new song and music video titled “Insensitive Tempo”, a single from their upcoming seventh studio album “cut.turn.fade.back.”, set to arrive October 24 via Equal Vision Records.

Vocalist Donovan Melero says “Insensitive Tempo” was inspired by violence cited as “crimes of passion,” and reflects on how harmful behaviours can become normalized from a young age when red flags are dismissed as intimacy. He adds that while the song responds to specific incidents, it also speaks more broadly to how society treats interpersonal violence and the need to rethink what is tolerated.

The album cut.turn.fade.back. includes “Insensitive Tempo” as one of its 11 tracks. Other recent singles from the album include “The Drooling Class”, “War Crimes”, “Blight” and “Consumed With You.” The album is produced and engineered by Pete Adams and Johnny Kosich (of Beach Noise), with mixing and mastering by Zakk Cervini.
