Berlin heavy psych and doom duo Grin are breathing new life into their early work. The band have released a fresh remastered version of “Ordinand”, pulled from the upcoming updated edition of their debut EP “Revenant”, which first landed back in 2018. The reissue will be released on December 12 through The Lasting Dose Records.
The track originally marked a key moment in the band’s early sound. It carried thick low end, slow burning riffs and a hypnotic pulse that set the tone for everything Grin would explore later. The 2025 remaster sharpens those edges. The bass feels heavier, the drums hit with more bite and the entire mix opens up in a way that makes the song feel even more cavernous. Although the atmosphere stays gloomy, the clearer production lets every layer push forward with new force.
This release offers a first look at the new “Revenant” remaster. It also shows how much the duo have evolved since their early days. Their later material drifted further into psychedelic territory, yet “Ordinand” still sounds like a solid foundation for the path they took. Fans can dive back into the track now and hear both where the band started and how their sound continues to grow.
