Thrash metal legends Exodus are set to release their 12th studio album, “Goliath”, on March 20 via Napalm Records. More than four decades after their debut, the band continues to push forward without compromise, delivering what they describe as one of their most multifaceted releases to date.
The album’s title track, “Goliath,” was recently unveiled alongside an official music video. The song showcases a darker and slower side of Exodus, with the band even calling it potentially the heaviest track they have ever written. The track also features haunting string arrangements performed by violinist Katie Jacoby, adding a cinematic and ominous atmosphere to the composition.
Following the release of the new album, Exodus will head out on a major European tour alongside Kreator, Carcass, and Nails. The tour will also stop in Finland, with the bands set to perform at Helsinki Ice Hall on April 21.
Chaoszine caught up with Exodus guitarist Gary Holt via Zoom to discuss the upcoming “Goliath” album, the band’s forthcoming European tour with Kreator, Carcass and Nails, as well as Holt’s experience performing with Slayer at Ozzy Osbourne’s historic “Back To The Beginning” farewell event.
