Ghøstkid part ways with the whole band

Author Benedetta Baldin - 19.5.2026

There’s a big news coming all the way from the Ghøstkid band camp. It looks like the only remaining member of the band is Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler. Jappo Van Glory (guitar), Chris Canterbury (guitar), Stanislaw Czywil (bass), and Steve Joakim (drums) have all parted ways with the band. The official account of the band has posted this message.

Hey everyone,
as many of you may have noticed, there’s going to be a big change within the Ghøstkid team.
I want to express my deepest respect and nothing but love for my brothers who supported me in the best way possible throughout the past six years of Ghøstkid. I’m more than grateful for all the memories we’ve created together, the incredible moments we shared on stage, and the fact that I wouldn’t have made it through some really tough times without you.
There are different individual reasons why we’ve decided to part ways. It wasn’t a one-sided or a collective decision, and without going too much into detail, I just want to say:
Thank you, @chris___canterbury , @stanni.c.tattoo@stevejoakim , and @jappo_van_glory , for these amazing six years. I love you and wish you nothing but the best❤️

Xoxo – Ghøstkid

The first one to post about this was guitarist Jappo Van Glory.

Hello everyone.

As some of you may or may not have noticed, things have been pretty quiet from my side for a while now, for a number of different reasons, and one of them is something I want to share with you today.

My journey with Ghostkid has come to an end.

Looking back, it’s honestly hard to put into words how much this chapter meant to me. We got to experience things we once only dreamed about, shared unforgettable moments, met incredible people all around the world, and created memories that will stay with me forever.

But sometimes people grow in different directions, and even though that can be painful, it’s also a natural and inevitable part of life.

I’m deeply grateful to every single person who supported me and supported us throughout this journey. Whether you came to shows, listened to the music, bought merch, spent time with us, or simply connected with what we created, thank you. It truly means the world to me. None of this would have been possible without you.

I also want to thank the entire band, the team, and everyone who worked with us along the way. We shared something special, and those experiences and bonds will always remain a part of me. This chapter shaped all of our lives in one way or another, and I’ll always appreciate that.

Sometimes moving forward means leaving certain things behind, and that’s okay too.

I genuinely wish everyone nothing but the best for their lives and future endeavors.

Take care of yourselves, keep loving, and keep believing in what moves you.

Love,
Jappo
