Ghost webisode brings back familiar faces for Frater Imperator reunion

Author Benedetta Baldin - 17.12.2025

Swedish occult rock band Ghost, known for achieving multi-platinum sales, has released the 23rd installment of their ongoing web series, as per theprp. This installment further develops the narrative surrounding the clandestine ‘clergy’ that operates behind the band’s public persona. The latest episode, titled ‘Frater Gets A Visit,’ has a duration exceeding eight minutes. It depicts Frater Imperator, also known as Papa Emeritus IV and Cardinal Copia, reuniting with his deceased mother. The narrative is complex, with Frater Imperator having been reassigned to an administrative position within the clergy during the cycle associated with their recent album, “Skeletá.” His fraternal twin, Papa V Perpetua, succeeded him as the front figure of Ghost.

In early 2026, Ghost is scheduled to tour North America in support of “Skeletá,” with a series of shows planned that emphasize a phone-free concert experience.
