The Motocultor Festival’s “on the road” edition turned London’s Underworld into a high-octane global crossroads. The night kicked off with the technical rage of Singapore’s Deus Ex Machina and the melodic metalcore of Spain’s Morphium, followed by the space-age swagger of France’s Lone Survivors.
The showstoppers, however, were UUHAI, who delivered a cinematic Mongolian throat-singing ritual, and Nanowar of Steel, whose genius parody set featured barn owl costumes and on-stage IKEA furniture assembly. It was a brilliant, genre-defying mix that proved metal has no borders.
