Fred Durst, the lead singer of Limp Bizkit, recorded a short video of himself exploring an unmanned studio and posted it to his Instagram stories on October 1st. As reported by theprp, at one time, Durst said, “I had the studio to myself today.” It was “seeming like a vocal kind of day,” he added later. He went on to say, “I think it’s time to turn it up,” after outlining the specifics of his possible solo recording process and calling out a few “ghosts” in the studio. This past September, Limp Bizkit released their first new song since 2021. They collaborated with the first-person shooter video game Battlefield 6 on the vibrantly named song “Making Love to Morgan Wallen.” That next game is anticipated to feature more of the band’s songs.
