Former Slipknot percussionist Chris Fehn made an appearance on Pawn Stars this week as the reality series examined memorabilia connected to his former band.

The episode, titled Slipknot Your Average Pawn, aired on October 21, 2026. According to ThePRP, Fehn was brought in to help authenticate a mask said to be associated with him, alongside additional Slipknot items presented by collector Spencer Victory.

History’s official episode listing confirms that a Slipknot mask is among the objects featured in the installment. The episode also includes other collectibles and antiques being evaluated by the show’s regular cast and guests.

Fehn performed with Slipknot from 1998 until 2019, becoming particularly recognizable for his distinctive stage mask. His departure from the group was followed by a legal dispute. The television appearance offers an unusual glimpse of the musician discussing an artifact from that period of the band’s history.

Fehn was raised in Ankeny, Iowa. Before his association with Slipknot, he served as a kicker for the Wayne State College football team. Fehn became a member of the band in August or September of 1998, succeeding percussionist Brandon Darner. In addition to contributing his percussion skills, Fehn has provided backing vocals for several tracks that Slipknot has recorded and performed live.

Fehn identifies himself as an ardent admirer of the band, asserting that “the world needed something like this.” In an interview with Face Culture, he recounted that the band members subjected him to playful teasing during his initial tenure with the group. He characterized his experiences during the self-titled album period as a “hazing period.”

In a recent interview, Slipknot bassist Paul Gray remarked that Fehn “often infuses humor into the ensemble,” asserting that they “certainly require that individual.” Fehn is known for donning a Pinocchio-inspired mask and frequently engages in gestures that mimic masturbation by stroking its nose. Before his affiliation with Slipknot in 1998, Fehn maintained a close friendship with the band’s percussionist, Shawn Crahan. Initially, Fehn approached Crahan with a request to serve as the drum technician for drummer Joey Jordison.

Shortly after this inquiry, Fehn received an invitation to perform percussion for the group. He was subsequently presented with a preliminary demo featuring the entirety of Slipknot’s repertoire. Fehn has indicated that “Spit It Out” particularly resonated with him. Following his audition for the percussion role, he was officially integrated into Slipknot, becoming the eighth member of the collective.
