Three former members of Breaking Benjamin have announced a reunion performance, featuring a newly recruited vocalist, scheduled to occur near their original location in March 2026, as per loudwire. The ensemble will reportedly operate under the name We Are Not Alone, with former members Aaron Fink, Mark Klepaski, and Jeremy Hummel participating.

The lineup for this special event will include Baxter Teal, the singer-guitarist from Deepfield, assuming the role of lead vocalist. The reunion concert is scheduled for March 7, 2026, at Front Street Station in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, situated just north of the band’s original formation site in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, in 1999.

This performance will predominantly highlight material from the “Saturate” and “We Are Not Alone” periods of the band’s history. Jeremy Hummel was an original member, active from the band’s inception until his departure in 2004, when Chad Szeliga replaced him on drums during the initial phase of the group’s career.

Klepaski and Fink both joined in 2002, the same year Breaking Benjamin gained widespread recognition with their debut album, “Saturate”, released through Hollywood Records. Baxter Teal, who previously fronted the South Carolina-based band Deepfield, formed with Shinedown‘s current bassist Eric Bass, toured during the 2000s before their split in 2010.

Teal has also released two additional albums under the Deepfield name. He auditioned for the reunion performance, and potentially for future endeavors, with his audition recordings including performances of “Blow Me Away” and “So Cold.”

The group fragmented in the early 2010s following a period of hiatus. Singer Ben Burnley had a conflict with guitarist Aaron Fink and bassist Mark Klepaski over the release of a hits compilation that featured a remixed version of “Blow Me Away” with guest artist Sydnee Duran.

Burnley contended that he and the band’s management were not consulted regarding the decision and accused the other members of acting unilaterally. Consequently, Burnley dismissed Fink and Klepaski from the band.

A legal dispute ensued, resulting in a ruling that granted Burnley the rights to the band’s name. Subsequently, drummer Chad Szeliga also left the group shortly after the court decision.

Burnley subsequently reassembled the band with new members and continued to achieve success with the releases of the albums “Dark Before Dawn” in 2015 and “Ember” in 2019.
