Khiral, a death/thrash metal band based in southern Finland, has been in a situation where the band’s second guitarist’s lot has been under change for some time. In the spring/winter of 2021 Tommi Kinnunen who played on the band’s latest “Shards” album released on August 6th, made room for Tuomas Kulomaa, who, however, had to step down from his post due to scheduling issues with his personal life.
Khiral played their record release gig with Zsolt Zilagyi, a substitute borrowed from the band Dreamtale. Zilagyi, however, didn’t have enough time for two active bands, so Alexander “Ale” Kuoppala (Ex-Children of Bodom, Thyrargo, Valonkantajat) will now take the place of Khiral’s second axeman.
Alexander brings unique experience and vision to Khiral, as well as, of course, his playing style that’s been refined in many broths. The band has already rehearsed with their new line-up, and things are working just as they should. Each member is excited as the line-up finally stabilizes, allowing gazes to be turned to upcoming gigs and composing new music.
