Bay Area thrash metal veterans Forbidden have made professionally filmed footage of their complete October 30, 2026 concert at Reggies rock club in Chicago, Illinois, available online.
The performance took place during the band’s ongoing Chaos By Design U.S. tour, which also features fellow thrash metal outfit Heathen and Void.
The Chicago show included a mixture of classic Forbidden material and songs from the group’s recently released self-titled studio album. Among the tracks performed were “Infinite”, “Single Point Failure”, “March Into Fire”, “Twisted Into Form”, “Forbidden Evil” and “Through Eyes Of Glass”.
The footage also gives fans an opportunity to see Forbidden’s temporary touring lineup in action.
Bassist Matt Camacho and drummer Chris Kontos are sitting out the current U.S. run due to personal commitments. They have been replaced by Avery Thurman and Eli Lucas, respectively.
The Chaos By Design tour began on October 23 in Las Vegas and is scheduled to conclude on November 22 in Los Angeles.
The trek supports Forbidden’s new self-titled album, released on October 23 through BLKIIBLK, the heavy metal imprint of Frontiers Label Group.
Recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California, with engineer and co-producer Zack Ohren, the album marks the band’s first full-length release since 2010’s “Omega Wave”.
Forbidden returned to active duty in 2023 with a revamped lineup featuring founding guitarist Locicero, longtime bassist Camacho, vocalist Norman Skinner, guitarist Steve Smyth and drummer Kontos.
The group has since undergone additional personnel changes, with Jeremy Von Epp joining on guitar in 2025.
The new concert footage captures the latest chapter in Forbidden’s career as the influential thrash metal band continues its return to the stage and studio.
