For My Pain… return with comeback album “Buried Blue” – album release tour kicks off in January

Finnish gothic metal supergroup For My Pain… have officially returned with their long-awaited comeback album “Buried Blue“, which was released today. Originally formed at the turn of the millennium, the band has remained a cult favorite among fans of dark and melodic metal. Therefore, news of new material sparked immediate excitement among listeners.

This time, the band approached the album without rushing the process. Instead, they allowed the songs to develop naturally. Vocalist Juha Kylmänen explains that the band worked on several demanding projects at the same time, which made the process intense but rewarding.

“We built a studio, revived the band, started a company and a record label, and made an album at the same time,” Kylmänen says.

“Still, the unity within the band kept everything together. “Buried Blue” proves what a dedicated group can achieve. Finally releasing it feels like waiting for sunset after a long night.”

Before the album’s release, For My Pain… shared several singles. These included “Recoil Into Darkness”, “WitchBitch Elite”, and “Time Will Heal Our Wounds”. In addition, the band released “Windows Are Weeping“, which features Nightwish multi-instrumentalist Troy Donockley. Moreover, fans received a surprise with the band’s cover of “Hetken Tie On Kevyt”, originally recorded by Tehosekoitin.

Album production and artwork

The band handled most of the album’s production themselves. Juha Kylmänen recorded vocals at Whiteleaf Studios in Oulu. Meanwhile, Mikko Karmila mixed the album at Finnvox Studios. Finally, Sofia von Hage and Thomas Eberger mastered the record at Stockholm Mastering. Travis Smith created the album’s artwork.
