Foo Fighters reveal new album “Your Favorite Toy” out in April – title track available now

Author Benedetta Baldin - 19.2.2026

Foo Fighters new single, “YOUR FAVORITE TOY“, was released today. It is taken from the band’s new album of the same name, due out on April 24th (Roswell Records/RCA Records) and available for pre-order from today.

YOUR FAVOURITE TOY” is a song that creeps into your mind and never leaves: sharp guitars and sinister keyboard riffs intertwine over a driving rhythm, while Dave Grohl unleashes a new, more biting and sarcastic vocal tone in the chorus:
Get back
Hear that, boy?
Someone threw away your favourite toy for good
For good”

Dave Grohl commented: “Your Favourite Toy” was really the key to defining the sound of the new album. It came about almost by accident, after more than a year of experimenting with different sounds, and the day it took shape, I knew we had to go in that direction. It was the spark that gave life to the set of songs we recorded for this album. It has a new energy.

The track offers a first taste of the band’s new album, which not only shares the same name as the single but also fully reflects its spirit, making ‘YOUR FAVOURITE TOY‘ immediately and unmistakably in the style of the Foo Fighters.

Preceded by the singles “Asking For A Friend” and “Your Favourite Toy“, the album “Your Favourite Toy” was recorded entirely at home. The album is co-produced by Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, with sound engineering by Oliver Roman and mixing by Mark “Spike” Stent.
