The horrific flames that have ripped across several neighbourhoods this week have also damaged the home in Los Angeles of Larry ‘Ler’ LaLonde from Primus. The overall area scorched by the flames is 37,000 acres, and at least 11 people have been killed. Tens of thousands of people have been displaced, including frontman Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, drummer Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine, and guitarist Scott Ian of Anthrax. The fires in places like Sunset and the Palisades have destroyed an estimated 12,000 buildings. Strong winds have fueled the fires, and as of January 11th, many still have a long way to go before being contained.
