As they gear up for the release of their new album, Mørket’s latest single “Högar av lik” operates right at the core of the band’s trademark musical brew. Into the mix they throw ferocious metal, punk, and gritty rock, all lubricated with a shout-along chorus – while lyrically wading into deeper and darker reflections, without losing sight of hope.

The track features a guest appearance by Felix Lybeck, vocalist of the acclaimed indie rock band Bad Sauna.

In addition to their distinctive brand of metal, Mørket stand out for performing songs in both Swedish and Finnish. The Swedish title “Högar av lik” translates to “pile of bodies.” The song addresses inner traumas and asks whether it’s possible to live with them – and whether love is still possible after the experiences that caused traumas.

Mørket’s third album, “Del III: Dodsångestens fågelsång”, will be released in October. The record has already spawned singles including “Kirottu maa”, a track showcasing the band’s raw punk attitude, which also came with an official music video.

Mørket’s debut album “Musta luonto” was released in 2016, followed by their sophomore album “Oro” in 2020.
