Lifeforce Records is super stoked to announce the signing of Finnish grindcore outfit I, Cursed to their roster. Even the musical directions takes a different path here, some of you might recognize familiar faces and you’re not wrong.
Combining angry and furious death metal and grindcore, I, Cursed, from the Pori / Parainen / Ulvila area in Finland, is a brutal dredging of Eero Haula, Ville-Veikko Laaksonen, Arttu Leppänen and Joni Suodenjärvi known from Atlases (also Lifeforce Records), Cannibal Accident and Oceanwake (also Lifeforce Records), among others, which is fed to the national and international metal scene in an atonal coldness. I, Cursed’s music is a mix of something old and familiar, the HM-2 sound of Swedish grind, and somewhat more modern and crushing production.
The band comments on the signing:
“When we started to search a new label, main thing was to find a new home with strong represent in the metal community around the world, because band’s focus is strongly abroad. When Lifeforce expressed their interest, it was a no-brainer for us. We are extremely pumped for this, and there are great things to come, so stay tuned!”
