The American industrial metal group Fear Factory was founded in Los Angeles in 1989. Its primary sound is industrial metal, and it has released 10 full-length albums and changed sounds over the years. The band’s lineup has changed frequently over the years, with lead singer Burton C. Bell being the sole constant member for 31 years till he left in 2020. After a seven-year hiatus from 2002 to 2009, guitarist Dino Cazares is the only original member still playing in Fear Factory‘s current lineup. Cazares, drummer Pete Webber, vocalist Milo Silvestro, and bassist Tony Campos make up Fear Factory‘s current lineup.
Fear Factory signed with Roadrunner Records in 1991, and the following year they released their first album, “Soul of a New Machine”. The band gained popularity through touring after it became an underground hit.
