Industrial metal giants Fear Factory have returned to the studio to prepare a new album, their first since 2021’s “Aggression Continuum”. The band’s current line-up features guitarist Dino Cazares, vocalist Milo Silvestro, bassist Tony Campos and drummer Pete Webber.
On April 20th, the band shared photos of their drum recording sessions and revealed that the new material will feature riffs played on an eight-string guitar. Cazares praised the band’s team spirit: “Everything works great. Pete is a great drummer, and Milo sounds like a young Burton – a very talented guy.”
Silvestro, who was originally discovered through YouTube covers, impressed with his skills from the very first gig. “He brought just the freshness that Fear Factory needed,” said Dino.
On the last album, the band’s original singer Burton C. Bell was still with the band, but in September 2020 he announced he was leaving the band. Bell said he could no longer continue to be in a band with people he didn’t trust or respect. He said years of arguments, lawsuits and egos took the joy out of the whole thing.
