To celebrate the 40th anniversary of their platinum album “Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?”, thrash metal icons Megadeth have teamed up with NYC-born pizzeria Prince St. Pizza for a limited-edition menu item, as per Blabbermouth. Available exclusively from September 23 through September 27 at Los Angeles locations, the collaboration features “The Vic’s Pepperoni”—a New York-style round pizza topped with original pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella, and all-beef pepperoni, served in a custom-designed promotional box.
Alongside the pizza, the promotion gives fans an opportunity to win tickets to the sold-out “An Evening With Megadeth” event and meet-and-greet at the Grammy Museum on September 24. Founded in 1983 by Dave Mustaine, Megadeth has sold 50 million records, earned a Grammy Award alongside 12 additional nominations, and secured nine Top 10 Billboard 200 entries over their four-decade career. The band is currently touring stadiums globally alongside Iron Maiden on the sold-out Run For Your Lives tour.
Megadeth and Prince St. Pizza come from different worlds, but there’s a real connection in the way both brands have built loyal followings by staying authentic to who they are. For us, this partnership is about bringing those two worlds together in a way that feels genuine, unexpected and fun for the fans who have helped us become what we are today. – Lawrence Longo, CEO of Prince St. Pizza
With the upcoming An Evening With Megadeth event at the Grammy Museum completely sold out, the Prince St. Pizza collaboration offered fans an alternative entry method to secure access. Rewards members who purchased a slice or a full-size Vic’s Pepperoni pie before entries closed on September 23 at 8:00 PM were automatically entered into a giveaway for one of five pairs of tickets to the September 24 show. The contest also offered a no-purchase-necessary mail-in entry option per official contest rules.
Among the five ticket winners, one grand prize recipient scored an exclusive pre-show pizza session with Megadeth lineup members Dave Mustaine, Teemu Mäntysaari, James LoMenzo, and Dirk Verbeuren. Additionally, 20 runner-up participants received a custom collaboration pizza box signed by the band, bundled with a commemorative Peace Sells t-shirt.
