Famed Sunset Strip venue Whisky A Go Go hit by truck

On May 9, a dump truck struck the iconic Whisky a Go Go music venue in West Hollywood, California, cutting off electricity to surrounding businesses. According to NBC News, the truck, which looked to be hauling sand, struck five cars and a power line before crashing into the building on the Sunset Strip. At approximately 1:45 p.m., the incident took place. Sunset Boulevard and Clark Street were closed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department due to the collision. The scheduled performances of Boy Hits Car, Barefoot In The Bathroom, and Gearheart at the Whisky A Go Go on Friday night were cancelled.

Due to the traffic collision, some power has been affected and power is out to some parts of the area. Crews are currently on scene and working to restore power. LASD alert
