Due to extreme weather that interrupted this weekend’s Knotfest in Iowa, Slipknot was forced to shorten their scheduled performance. The schedule for Saturday was changed in anticipation of impending storms. Initially, it was declared that all acts would have their stage times adjusted for the best possible experience. An hour earlier than planned, at 8 p.m., Slipknot began their concert. However, as Corey Taylor and company tore through their set, the Des Moines Water Works Park venue declared they would have to end the performance. Before they had to exit the stage and the concert was shortened, Slipknot was able to perform 11 songs. Social media posts from fans showed that they were cognizant of the circumstances, and many of them complimented the band on their performance.
Unfortunately, the weather is not cooperating, and it is time to pull the plug. Please exit the park slowly and drive home safely. Thanks for joining us at Knotfest Iowa. The venue on social media
