March is one of my favorite months. Not only because it’s the start of spring, my birthday is on it or because the days get longer, but also because so many albums are released in this month. And now I’m about to review for you one of those, which is “Wilderness of Mirrors” by Myrath, a band that I’ve had the pleasure of seeing live and capturing their talent with my lenses.
If I’m not mistaken this is the 7th album by Myrath, and it’s about 10 years that I listen to them! So you can trust me when I say that they’ve always improved their game, and this time it’s not different. I’m in love with the production, mixing and mastering. The bass, that sometimes is hidden in the mix, has its rightful space and I’m as happy as ever. This is just one of the fabulous aspects of the album.
The band has always incorporated in their music many influences, and perhaps this is one of the reasons why they’re so versatile and ecletic. Progressive metal has a new standard with the release of “Wilderness of Mirrors”: Myrath have been able to surpass themselves once more, proving they’re one of the finest acts around.
“Les Enfants Du Soleil” completely and utterly owns my heart now. And that’s coming from someone who’s not really that into Frech language, but hey, Myrath turned it into something sublime. Close to this, there’s the single “Soul of My Soul“, which is another extraordinary track, layered and profound.
In conclusion, I must urge you to tune into your favorite streaming platform on March 27th, because “Wilderness of Mirrors” is something so remarkable and spectacular, that it would be a crime to overlook it. Myrath have delivered us a fantastic product, and we all must show them how much we appreiciate it!
