Jacksonville metalcore crew Evergreen Terrace have dropped their take on Jimmy Eat World’s “Bleed American”. The cover arrives on streaming platforms just as the original celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Cover songs are familiar territory for Evergreen Terrace. The band released “Writer’s Block” in 2004, a full album of covers featuring reworked tracks from Smashing Pumpkins, U2, The Offspring, and others. This new rendition of “Bleed American” continues that tradition over two decades later.

The band also revisited the cover format last year. In August 2025, Evergreen Terrace shared their version of Dead Kennedys’ 1981 track “Nazi Punks Fuck Off” as part of their split album with Wisdom In Chains.

The five-piece have stayed active in 2026 beyond covers as well. In March, former drummer Brad Moxey returned after the departure of Longineu Parsons. That lineup shift led to “Bolt Cutter” in July, their first single with Moxey back behind the kit.

“Bleed American” is now available on Spotify and other streaming services.
