Tampere, Finland — Finnish modern metal band Event Relentless are putting the spotlight on “The Last Chance,” one of the key tracks from their upcoming new album. Originally released in 2025, the song’s official music video is now receiving renewed attention as the band prepares for the release of their new full-length album in early 2027. The video has already surpassed 50,000 views on YouTube, giving the track a strong second wave of attention ahead of the album’s release.

Rather than being a new release, the video represents an early glimpse into the sound and direction of the upcoming album. With the album currently in production and another new single expected before its release, “The Last Chance” offers listeners an opportunity to discover one of the tracks that helped shape the band’s next chapter.

Vocalist and guitarist Juho Raita describes “The Last Chance” as a song that captures the essence of the band:
If someone asked what Event Relentless is all about, I would play them this song. The track clearly showcases the band’s core elements: heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and big choruses. It’s straightforward, honest metal, with a bit of technical guitar and drum work sprinkled in to keep things interesting.”

The song combines the band’s characteristic heavy guitar work with melodic hooks and large choruses, giving an early indication of the musical direction Event Relentless are taking on their forthcoming album. The music video for “The Last Chance” was filmed in Hiedanranta, Tampere, Finland: an urban industrial area whose atmosphere matched the band’s aesthetic.

Bassist Henri Soisalo explains:
We considered what would be a great location to film a video for this song, and from a few options, the Hiedanranta area in Tampere was chosen. The setting felt suitably urban, offering just the right amount of grit that matches our vibe. The building where we filmed was actually under renovation at the time, so while we were blasting metal at full volume through the speakers, construction workers were carrying out their jobs right behind the camera.

The result is a raw and energetic performance video that reflects the character of the song and the band’s Tampere roots:

The upcoming album is currently in the works and is planned for early 2027. The band is also expected to release more singles before the album arrives.
