Biohazard bassist and vocalist Evan Seinfeld has shared new details about his upcoming solo project, Shed My Skin. During a recent appearance on the Heartdea13r Podcast With Christopher Gonda, Seinfeld confirmed that he has already recorded a substantial amount of material for the project.
I’m getting ready to release the first single, hopefully this year. I’m looking into, like, December. What I’m doing right now, there are elements in it that I would call trap metal. I’m so precious about music… Because as an artist, it’s like a sensitivity. It’s me, but it’s not me. It’s just something I create. It’s a story I get attached to that I should worry about what people think about my fucking music. I put it out there to express myself. Who loves it, loves it. Who hates it, hates it. I’m not making it for anybody but me, but that’s what authenticity is.
What’s the status then?
So, my new project is called Shed My Skin, and I have not put out anything yet. It’s coming soon. I have a bunch of music recorded, and I’m just trying to figure out what’s the best way to tell the story, and what song would I put forward first to kind of give people the idea of what this is about.
Biohazard released their first studio album in more than a decade, “Divided We Fall”, in October 2025 through BLKIIBLK. The record marked the return of the band’s classic lineup and continued their established fusion of hardcore punk, heavy metal and hip-hop influences.
For now, Seinfeld is keeping the finer details of Shed My Skin under wraps, but his latest comments suggest that listeners can expect a project that retains his trademark intensity while exploring new sonic territory.
