Belgian black metal force Enthroned push deeper into spiritual ruin and rebirth with the sinister new track “Ashen Advocacy”. The looming seven-minute descent arrives as a preview from their twelfth full-length “Ashspawn,” due December 5 via Season of Mist.

Thematically, “Ashspawn” explores spiritual death and rebirth through visions of demonology, ritual practice, and transformation. As a result, the album stands as Enthroned’s most personal and aggressive work to date. It blends rapid drumming, heavy mid-tempos, and guitar solos that swing between brutality and strange beauty. In addition, songs like “Raviasamin,” “Ashspawn,” and “Ashen Advocacy” showcase the band’s refined balance of violence and control.

Every sound on “Ashspawn” was created with clear intent. The album was recorded at Ophiussa Studio in London and produced by drummer Menthor, then mixed by Stefano Santi at SPVN Studio in Milan and mastered by Phil Bashford at The Hive in London. The lineup—Nornagest on vocals and samplers, T. Kaos on guitars and bass, and Menthor on drums—deliver each song like a ritual in motion. Therefore, “Ashspawn” feels less like a return and more like the band’s strongest statement yet.

“Ashspawn” is available for pre-order now in digital, CD, and vinyl formats.
