British electronic rock band Enter Shikari have confirmed that they are working on new music. The band’s singer Rou Reynolds revealed to Kerrang! In Conversation podcast that the band will spend the first few months of the year recording alongside a tour of Australia and Japan.
Reynolds said that at the moment it’s all about individual songs, and the band hasn’t yet decided whether they will release a full album or individual tracks. He mentioned that after their previous album ‘A Kiss For The Whole World’ reached number one in the UK charts, they would like to return to a more fun and interesting way of releasing music.
New music is on the way this year, although Reynolds admitted he was behind schedule. He said he was particularly focused on improving the creative process and reducing anxiety. Reynolds described the current process as “edgy and spiky” compared to the last album, when the excitement of being in a band after the COVID 19 pandemic removed all anxiety.
Reynolds stressed that while making music is fun and inspiring, the process is not as enjoyable as it should be. The band is currently working on several songs in various stages of completion and is excited about their upcoming music.
The band’s previous album “A Kiss for the Whole World” was released in 2023.
