Elijah Blue Allman, frontman of Deadsy, this past Friday, February 27th, was taken into custody in Concord, New Hampshire, on a number of allegations, as per theprp. Following an incident at St. Paul’s School, Allman, 49, is charged with two charges of simple assault, one act of criminal trespass, and one count of criminal threatening. For the incident, he was additionally accused of disorderly conduct. Allman has no known connection to the school in question, according to TMZ. There is a police inquiry underway. According to TMZ, Allman was “causing a disturbance and acting belligerently” in the school’s dining hall when police were summoned.
According to reports, Allman was admitted to the hospital in June 2025 after overdosing. Before that, he and his mother Cher resolved a conservatorship issue in 2024. The latter had filed a lawsuit against him, stating that she was concerned that if Allman continued to receive the $120,000 yearly trust fund payment set up by his late father, Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, his known history of drug misuse and mental health problems would get worse. Elijah contested that lawsuit, claiming that during the court processes he had been sober and in rehabilitation for several months. Elijah claimed to be sober on social media in September of last year. Early in 2024, Elijah reactivated Deadsy, releasing their first new single since 2006.
The band was originally signed to Sire Records, but just before its 1997 release, the label shelved their self-titled debut album. The label dropped them in 1999 after they tried to rework the record. Deadsy toured the country, most notably on the Family Values Tour, after signing with Jonathan Davis’ Elementree Records and eventually releasing the album, now known as “Commencement”, in 2002. The band took a break in 2007 following the release of “Phantasmagore” on Immortal Records/Elementree in 2006. Prior to the re-release of “Phantasmagore”, it was rumored in 2020 that the band planned to release their third album, “Subterfugue”, in 2021. The album hasn’t been made available yet.
