While the band was traveling to Europe to begin their EU leg of the tour, Yamal Said, the drummer for Lord Buffalo, was arrested by the US Customs and Border Patrol. Said has been found and in contact with appropriate legal counsel since May 12th, according to the band’s different updates. However, it appears that his detention is not related to his immigration status or the fact that he is a Mexican national holding a U.S. green card. An outstanding arrest warrant for Said was the cause. According to internet records, Said had been arrested “at least” twice in the previous year for breaking a restraining order, according to KUT, a Texas news site. The local sheriff’s office issued a warrant for Yamal Said’s arrest, which is regarded as a felony in Texas. The Daily Mail was able to get bodycam footage that shows Said being questioned on the restraining order violations. Said admitted to sending his daughter birthday and Christmas presents, which could be the reason he is accused of breaking his restraining order and, consequently, the warrant for his arrest. Additionally, according to the Daily Mail, he is incarcerated in Tarrant County, Texas, and is being detained on a $40,000 bail. Other sources have not yet verified that. At the request of Said’s legal team, neither Yamal Said nor Lord Buffalo have provided any additional information.
