Dream Theater to release a new live album “Quarantième: Live à Paris”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 20.9.2025

With their US tour underway, progressive metal titans and GRAMMY® winners Dream Theater announce the release of a new live album, coming 28 November 2025 via Inside Out Music/Sony Music. “Quarantième: Live à Paris” documents the iconic line-up of James LaBrie [vocals], John Petrucci [guitar], John Myung [bass], Jordan Rudess [keyboards] and Mike Portnoy [drums] at their sold-out show at the Adidas Arena in Paris during their 40th anniversary European tour. The album features a set list spanning the band’s entire career, with classics such as “Metropolis Pt. 1“, “Panic Attack“, “Octavarium“, “Pull Me Under” and many more.
To coincide with the announcement, the band presents the live video for “Overture 1928 / Strange Déjà Vu“:

John Petrucci comments:

From the moment we announced our 40th anniversary tour, we knew it would be a very special event for both the band and our fans and that it had to be immortalised. With this release, our performance in Paris has been beautifully captured in both audio and video formats. A momentous occasion for everyone.

Mike Portnoy commented:

We always knew this tour would be unforgettable because we were not only celebrating four decades since the band’s formation, but also the reunion of the classic line-up. The excitement and emotion between us and our fans at every single show was palpable and absolutely off the charts! What was captured here in Paris was an epic night that we can now share with the whole world to celebrate this incredible tour.

The artwork was once again created by Hugh Syme.
