According to a recent report published by Law360.com, David Draiman, the lead vocalist of multi-platinum hard rock band Disturbed, has initiated legal proceedings against his former landlord. The lawsuit, filed on March 11th, 2025, states that Draiman had been renting a luxurious 5,200 square foot residence with six bedrooms in Coral Gables, Florida, at a monthly rate of $18,500.

In the legal documents, Draiman alleges that the landlord misrepresented the property’s condition, claiming he later discovered previously undisclosed issues including water leaks and mold infestation. Draiman maintains that when he brought these concerns to the landlord’s attention, he received assurances that the problems would be addressed promptly. However, Draiman contends that adequate repairs were not completed in a reasonable timeframe, ultimately forcing him to vacate the property.

The singer is reportedly seeking the return of his $37,000 security deposit and has filed charges against the landlord including fraudulent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, and negligence.

Draiman’s attorney stated in the complaint that the alleged mold presence in the home “impacts [Draiman’s] ability to sing as he is the lead singer of a prominent rock band with tour dates and recording commitments, which was fully disclosed to the defendant.” The legal representative further noted that “the uninhabitability and mold concerns, among other issues, resulted in impacts to plaintiff’s singing career, recording and studio time, along with medical concerns.
