Disturbed is taking a “nice long break”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 31.10.2025

It’s time for Disturbed to take a vacation after concluding their 25th anniversary tour in support of their 2000 album “The Sickness” on October 28th. As reported by MetalInjection, frontman David Drainman of Disturbed announced the band’s intention to take “a nice long break” before going on tour once more in two different blogs. It remains to be seen if this also applies to new music.

Headed home!!! Thanks so much to EVERYONE that made #TheSickness25 a tour to truly remember! Crew, Management, Agent, Promoters, and ESPECIALLY my brothers in @Disturbed Not sure when we will be headed back out. We all need a nice long break. Hope to see you when we do.

Feeling high school high after not burning (except Amsterdam…that doesn’t count 😉) for the last three months in preparation for #thesickness25

Reflecting on the beautiful madness of it all.

Looking forward to being with family and friends.

Taking a nice long break. 🙏🏻🤘🏻

During his band’s performance in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on October 14, Disturbed vocalist David Draiman took a moment to speak to the crowd. His remarks came after yet another round of criticism for his previous behavior and his open backing of Israel and the Israel Defense Forces in the now-tentatively-concluded Israel-Gaza War. Draiman signed an artillery shell from the Israel Defense Forces in 2024, sparking a controversy that has dogged him ever since. Draiman wrote “Fuck Hamas” as a signature on the shell. The incident sparked an instant outcry, with critics accusing Draiman of being indifferent to the civilian deaths reported in Israel’s artillery and bombing operations. Others accused them of supporting genocide and being belligerent.

Draiman invited his bandmates to the center stage to stand next to him. He continued by speaking to the crowd about togetherness and the recent occurrences. Read the full statement here.
