American metal band Demon Hunter have unveiled their newest single, “The Pain in Me is Gone”, which appears as track four on their forthcoming twelfth studio album, “There Was a Light Here”. The band confirmed that the album will arrive on September 12th through their own Weapons MFG label, with pre-orders live across multiple formats including CD, cassette, and limited-edition vinyls.

This marks their fourth public release ahead of the album; earlier singles include “I’m Done”, “Light Bends”, and “Sorrow Light The Way”. A fifth track, “Ouroboros”, was shared exclusively via the band’s newsletter.

“There Was a Light Here” is said to be a tribute to frontman Ryan Clark’s late mother, with a thematic focus on light framed by love and loss. The record was produced by Clark and guitarist Jeremiah Scott, with mixing and mastering handled by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Death Before Dishonor, Throwdown), except for the title track, which was mixed by Eric Stenman.

Demon Hunter continues to showcase their signature blend of melodic power and heavy intensity across the album’s twelve emotionally charged tracks, including “The Pain in Me is Gone”.

The band will support the release with a fall 2025 U.S. tour alongside War of Ages, Convictions, and Cultist, performing festivals like Louder Than Life in Louisville and Aftershock in Sacramento, along with a run of club dates.
