Dutch-Slovakian deathcore band Distant has released a new single called “Acolytes of Damnation”. The song features a guest appearance by Despised Icon vocalist Alex Erian.

The song is taken from the band’s forthcoming re-release of their debut EP “Tsukuyomi”. The new version is titled “Tsukuyomi: The Origin” and features seven new tracks and six re-recorded originals. The album will be released on November 22nd.

“Tsukuyomi: The Origin” is the story of Tsukuyomi, a central character in the band’s “The Heritage” and “The Rise Of Tyrannotophia” sagas. The album tells Tsukuyomi’s story in greater depth and highlights the evolution of the band’s music and vision. The album also celebrates the band’s 10th anniversary.

In addition to Erian, the album features guest appearances by Matt Heafy (Trivium), David Simonich (Signs of the Swarm) and Travis Worland (Enterprise Earth).
