Death Before Dishonor is back with a vengeance. The Boston hardcore veterans are dropping their new album “Nowhere Bound” on May 16th via Bridge Nine Records, marking their first full-length in six years. The album features 11 tracks produced by Zeuss (known for his work with Rob Zombie and Hatebreed) and recorded at Rock Valley and Planet-Z studios in Massachusetts.
Drummer Ben Hilton says the new record reflects where the band’s head has been in recent years. Expect classic themes like loyalty and friendship, but also deeper cuts on aging and staying true to your beliefs.
They kicked things off in February with the single “Overruled”, and now they’ve unleashed another rager: “Pushed to the Edge” — a fast, pissed-off burst of energy rooted in Boston hardcore, but without clinging to nostalgia.
Death Before Dishonor has been part of the Bridge Nine family since 2005, with albums like “Count Me In”, “Better Ways to Die” and “Unfinished Business” under their belt. The album release party goes down in Boston on May 18th, followed by a West Coast tour with Haywire in June, a stop at Chicago’s The Rumble in July, and This Is Hardcore fest in Philly this August.
