Deafheaven: a dark maestro and unforgettable night at Slaktkyrkan

One of the most blasting shows of the summer’s end at Slaktkyrkan, with its fantastic atmosphere, was Deafheaven’s show with their new album Lonely People with Power.

They delivered a powerful and immersive sound, blending black metal intensity with dreamy shoegaze textures. The contrast between raw aggression and fragile, atmospheric moments made the performance both overwhelming and deeply emotional! The singer was conducting the audience like a dark maestro, creating an all-consuming sense of unity with them. And the guitarist was dancing the best moves with his guitar — it felt like a scene from the best rock movie, only it was happening in real life!

This was my second Deafheaven concert, and it was unforgettable! Yes!

A special thanks to the band who opened the evening, Show Me the Body, and their insane energy in a foggy haze!

Sold-out show! Hell yeah!
