Dave Grohl praises Turnstile during a recent Foo Fighters’ show

Melodic hardcore musicians Turnstile continue to get praise and honors from their peers and fans despite coming home empty-handed from the 2026 “BRIT Awards” over the weekend, as per theprp. Dave Grohl, the singer and guitarist of Foo Fighters, recently gave the Baltimore, Maryland resident some praise after they won two Grammy Awards earlier this year. Grohl posted this homage to Turnstile prior to playing “My Hero” during a surprise Foo Fighters performance at the O2 Ritz in Manchester, UK, on Friday, February 27. Turnstile has been praised by Sir Elton John, Charli XCX, and many others for their music, which continues to have an impact on listeners worldwide.
Tonight I’m gonna dedicate [‘My Hero‘] to a band who I think is great and who might be here tonight in the audience — I’m not sure. But I’m very happy, coming from an old school, hardcore punk rock background on the East Coast in Washington DC, our neighbors in Washington, DC were from a little town called Baltimore, Maryland — not far, it’s only 45 minutes. So whenever I see someone from Baltimore doing something really great and enjoying the successes of their hard-earned work, I like to shout ’em out. So I’m gonna… let’s dedicate this one to the fellas, and ladies, in Turnstile. Let’s give this one up for Turnstile.
