Dark Divine release new single ‘Permanent’

Author Benedetta Baldin - 30.1.2026

Ominous metalcore band Dark Divine return with their next single ‘Permanent’, out today via Thriller Records alongside a new music video. The track leans into the band’s darker, more vulnerable side, exploring the lingering damage of a relationship that never truly fades, even after it ends.

Most people have something they wish they could erase. A name, a memory, a moment that felt right at the time but lingers in all the wrong ways. ‘Permanent’ dissects the feelings connected to that regret and the blemish it can leave on a soul; a mark that stays with you and serves as a constant reminder of what you survived, no matter how badly you want to forget.

Dark Divine shares their idea on the single:
“Our latest single, ‘Permanent’ illustrates the comparison of a toxic relationship to a bad tattoo. The circumstances surrounding it in the beginning may have been positive, but over time the memory becomes a permanent stain on not only the body but the mind as well.”

In the shadows of Orlando’s music scene, Dark Divine have emerged as something far more deliberate than just another metalcore band. Fronted by Anthony Martinez’s haunting vocals, Robby Lynch’s sinister guitar work, Cory Scissorhands thunderous bass lines, and Triston Blaize’s relentless drumming, the band weaves melody and menace into something uniquely their own. It’s brutal, it’s beautiful, and it lingers long after the first note.

The band gained widespread recognition with their breakthrough track ‘Halloweentown’, which didn’t just earn spins on SiriusXM’s Octane, it landed on major playlists like Spotify’s Rock Hard and Apple Music’s Breaking Metal. The press took notice, too. Outlets like idobi Radio, Outburn Magazine, and New Noise Magazine praised their fresh approach to the genre, with New Noise noting, “DARK DIVINE is playing all the right cards.” Now, the band returns to that haunted foundation, expanding on the eerie narrative that first caught the attention of spooky metal heads alike.

And it’s not just about the music, it’s the live show. From their spine-tingling set at Inkcarceration Festival 2024 to tours alongside artists like Black Veil Brides, Ville Valo, Holding Absence, Crown The Empire, Blessthefall, Miss May I, and ColorblindDark Divine knows how to bring their vision to life onstage. The band has also shared stages with Ice Nine Kills, appeared on the Summer of Loud tour, and delivered a standout performance at Apocalypse Fest alongside Motionless In White. Now, Dark Divine is preparing to bring that energy directly to fans across the country with their upcoming US headliner, The Shallow Graves Tour. Their growing fanbase, known as the Reapers, continues to show up in force, feeding off the band’s energy and authenticity.

Following the release of the deluxe edition of “Deadly Fun,” Dark Divine expanded their haunted universe, showing just how far they have come and how far they are willing to go. As 2026 begins, the band is stepping into a new chapter with fresh music in progress and big plans taking shape behind the scenes. With an evolving sound and more to reveal in the months ahead, Dark Divine continues to build momentum and push their vision forward, proving they are not just keeping spooky alive, but reshaping it on their own terms.
