Danny Elfman reveals that a member of Guns N’ Roses will take part in his project

With his rumored upcoming studio album, critically acclaimed composer and musician Danny Elfman has no shortage of gifted guitarists, as per theprp. Wes Borland, the guitarist for Limp Bizkit, disclosed earlier this week that he had been working on an Elfman project in the studio. Elfman teased a photo from a studio session with Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash on February 26.

Daniel Robert Elfman is a musician, songwriter, vocalist, and film composer from the United States. In the early 1980s, he rose to fame as the main songwriter and lead singer of the new wave group Oingo Boingo. In addition to writing music for television, theatrical plays, and concert halls, Elfman has achieved worldwide renown for his more than 100 feature film scores since he composed the music for his first studio picture in 1985. In addition to providing music for around 20 Burton productions, including Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish, and Alice in Wonderland, Elfman has regularly collaborated with filmmakers Tim Burton, Sam Raimi, and Gus Van Sant.

In addition, he wrote the music for Van Sant’s Academy Award-winning films Milk and Good Will Hunting, as well as Raimi’s Darkman, A Simple Plan, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Oz the Great and Powerful, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He composed the songs and score for Henry Selick’s animated musical The Nightmare Before Christmas, the themes for the television shows Desperate Housewives and The Simpsons, and the music for every movie in the Men in Black and Fifty Shades of Grey franchise. He has been nominated for four Oscars, won three Emmys, a Grammy, seven Saturn Awards for Best Music, the Richard Kirk Award in 2002, the Disney Legend Award in 2015, the Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award in 2017, and the Society of Composers & Lyricists Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.
