Japanese metalcore act Crystal Lake are back in full force with their latest single “The Weight of Sound”, now available to listen below and on streaming platforms. The track also serves as the title song for their upcoming sixth studio album, due out January 23, 2026, via Century Media Records.
Packed with explosive energy and a slick blend of heaviness and melody, “The Weight of Sound” marks a confident step forward for the band. It’s their first full-length release featuring vocalist John Robert Centorrino, who officially joined the lineup in 2023.
Alongside the release, the band dropped a visually intense music video directed by Seijiro Nishimi, bringing the track’s emotional weight and dynamic tension to life.
The full-length album will feature a guest-heavy lineup with appearances from members of Killswitch Engage, Volumes, Misery Signals, Signs of the Swarm, and more. Tracks like “Everblack”, “BlüdGod”, and “Dystopia” showcase the collaborative firepower driving the new era of Crystal Lake.
