Canadian technical death metal legends Cryptopsy are back with another taste of their upcoming album, releasing their third single “Dead Eyes Replete” alongside with a lyric video. The track is lifted from their ninth studio album, “An Insatiable Violence”, due out June 20th via Season of Mist.

According to the band, “Dead Eyes Replete” serves as a warning about the seductive but dangerous pull of fame and the spotlight — a theme that ties in neatly with the record’s overall concept. “An Insatiable Violence” delves into the darker sides of modern society and social media, shining a brutal light on our conflicted relationship with technology and self-destruction.

The album features tracks like “The Nimis Adoration”, inspired by an unsettlingly grotesque mukbang video, and the more groove-oriented “Until There’s Nothing Left”, built around the thunderous bass work of Olivier Pinard.

Drummer Flo Mounier, a long-reigning master of extreme metal technique, pushes things even further on this release with inventive rhythmic twists that keep the material fresh and dynamic. The album closes with “Malicious Needs”, a slow-burning epic that builds from a creeping atmosphere into an explosive finale.
