English metal band Cradle Of Filth caused outrage and moral panic with the band shirt they launched in 1993. The band’s shirt, which reads “Jesus is a cunt”, has attracted much criticism and has even been banned from sale around the world.

However, in a recent interview with Stroke The Fire, the band’s frontman Dani Filth admits that he would not wear the shirt today.

As disgusting as it is, I have to admit that I would be uncomfortable wearing it now. My girlfriend and I went out for dinner and she put it on without thinking because it was chilly outside. She wore a tidy version of it, but it was still visible enough. I looked at her in horror: ‘Oh my God, what are you doing?’ I don’t want to get spit up on my food. It was an awkward situation, but I’m glad we made that shirt , it was fun,” says Filth.
